Your AI phone receptionist
Meet Penny, your Phone Receptionist
Answers the phone when you can't, takes the message and sends it to you in minutes.
You're on a ladder, with a customer, or driving. The phone rings and goes to voicemail, and most callers hang up and call the next business. Penny picks up instead. She answers like a friendly receptionist, uses only the facts from your business details, takes the caller's name, number and what they need, and sends it all to you by text and email right away.
$75 a month for your website and all nine AI employees. No contract, cancel any time.
Missed call from (410) 555 0199, 48 seconds.
Caller: Hi, do you fix roof leaks?
Penny: We do. Summit Roofing repairs leaks across Baltimore County, and inspections are free. Can I take your name and number so Mike can call you back today?
Caller: Sure, Dan Reyes, 410 555 0199. It's dripping into the kitchen.
Penny: Thanks, Dan. I've marked it urgent. When's a good time for Mike to call?
Caller: Any time after 3.
Message: Dan Reyes, roof leak into the kitchen, urgent, call back after 3 pm today.
Owen added "Call Dan Reyes, roof leak" to your calendar at 3:15 pm today, with his number in the note.
This week so far: 6 calls answered, 4 messages, 1 wrong number, 1 caller who only asked for your hours.
What Penny does for you
Everything below is included. You talk to Penny in a chat, on your phone or computer, like messaging an employee.
Answers every missed call
Rings go to Penny when you don't pick up, or all the time outside your hours. Your choice.
Knows your business
Hours, services, areas you serve and prices you've saved. She never makes anything up; if she doesn't know, she takes a message.
Takes a clear message
Name, number, what they need and how urgent. Sent to you by text and email within a minute.
Books a callback time
Asks when the caller is free so you can call back when it suits them both.
Sounds like a person
A natural voice, short answers, and she says she's the assistant when asked.
Works with the team
Messages land in your Updates, Owen can add the callback to your calendar, and Max keeps track if it's a business lead.
How it works
Tell Penny what you need
In plain words. Or tap one of the starters: "Show me today's calls", "What should Penny say about pricing?".
Check the result
Penny shows you exactly what will happen before it happens. Change anything in a sentence.
Say yes
Reply yes in the chat, or tap the button. That's the only way anything goes out.
What Penny never does
- Never makes up prices, guarantees or appointments; if she doesn't know, she takes a message
- Never pretends to be you; she says she's the assistant when asked
- Never sells anything or takes payment details over the phone
Every AI employee at busytask works the same way: drafts first, your yes second. Real people at busytask are a reply away if anything looks off.

Questions
Does Penny replace my phone number?
No. You keep your number. Calls you don't answer, or calls outside the hours you choose, go to Penny instead of voicemail.
What if a caller asks something she doesn't know?
She says she'll have you call them back, takes the message and marks it. She never guesses.
Can she book appointments?
She books a callback time and, when you connect your calendar through Owen, can put it on your calendar. Firm appointments stay with you.
Will callers know it's an AI?
She sounds natural and answers in a few words. If someone asks, she says she's the assistant and takes a message.
