busytask LLC (“busytask,” “we,” “us”) is a Maryland limited liability company based in Baltimore, Maryland. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you visit busytask.com, use busytask AI at ai.busytask.com, or use any of our services.

By using our website or services, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us. When you fill out a form, sign up for a service, contact us, or talk with us by phone or email, you may give us your name, business name, job title, email address, phone number, mailing address, website address, and details about your business and what you need.

Payment information. Payments are handled by our payment processor. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.

Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, we collect basic technical information such as your IP address, approximate location, browser type, the page that referred you, pages you view, and how long you stay. If you call us, we may record your phone number and the date, time, and length of the call.

Information from connected accounts. If you use busytask AI and choose to connect an account, such as your Google account, Facebook Page, or Instagram business account, we receive information from that account as described in Sections 5 and 6.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  1. Provide, run, and support the services you sign up for
  2. Respond to your questions and requests
  3. Process payments and manage your account
  4. Send you service updates and important notices
  5. Send you information about our services, which you can opt out of at any time
  6. Keep our website and services secure
  7. Understand how our website is used so we can improve it
  8. Comply with the law

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We share information only in these situations:

  1. Service providers. Companies that help us run our business, such as hosting, payment processing, email delivery, customer support, analytics, and AI processing. They may only use your information to provide services to us.
  2. Business transfers. If busytask is sold, merged, or acquires another business, information may be transferred as part of that deal.
  3. Legal reasons. When required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of busytask, our customers, or others.
  4. With your permission. When you ask us to or agree to it.

Website advertising. Our website may use analytics and advertising tools, such as Google Analytics, that collect technical information about your visit through cookies. This applies only to visits to our public website. It never includes data from accounts you connect to busytask AI.

4. Cookies

We use cookies to make our website work, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use the site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work properly without them. More detail is in the Cookie Policy at busytask.com/legal.

5. Google User Data (busytask AI)

This section explains how busytask AI handles information it receives from Google when you connect your Google account. This section controls over any other part of this Privacy Policy where Google user data is concerned.

What we access. When you connect your Google account, you choose to give busytask AI access to your Google Business Profile. This may include your business name, address, hours, categories, description, photos, posts, customer reviews, and existing review replies. We also receive your name and email address so we can identify your account.

How we use it. We use this information only to provide the features you ask for:

  1. Reading your reviews so we can draft replies for you to approve
  2. Posting a review reply only after you approve it
  3. Publishing posts you have approved
  4. Updating your hours and business information at your direction

We do not use your Google user data for any other purpose.

What we never do.

  1. We never sell your Google user data.
  2. We never use it for advertising, and we never share it with advertisers or advertising networks.
  3. We never use it to train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
  4. We do not share it with third parties, except service providers who help us run busytask AI (such as our hosting provider and the AI service that drafts reply suggestions), and only to provide the features described above. These providers may not use your data for their own purposes, including training their models.
  5. We may disclose it when required by law.

No busytask staff member reads your Google user data unless you ask us to for support, it is needed for security purposes, or the law requires it.

Removing access. You can disconnect busytask AI from your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Once you do, we can no longer access your Business Profile.

Google API Services User Data Policy. busytask AI’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

6. Facebook and Instagram Data (busytask AI)

This section explains how busytask AI handles information it receives from Meta when you connect your Facebook Page or Instagram business account. This section controls over any other part of this Privacy Policy where Facebook and Instagram data is concerned.

What we access. When you connect through Facebook Login for Business, you choose which Pages and Instagram business accounts busytask AI can use. Depending on what you approve, we may receive:

  1. Your name and Facebook user ID
  2. The names, IDs, and profile pictures of the Pages and Instagram business accounts you select
  3. Posts and media already published on those Pages and accounts
  4. Basic engagement information about your posts, such as likes and comments

How we use it. We use this information only to provide the features you ask for:

  1. Showing you which Pages and Instagram accounts are connected
  2. Drafting posts for your business, using your existing posts as a guide to your style
  3. Publishing a post only after you approve it

We do not use your Facebook or Instagram data for any other purpose.

What we never do.

  1. We never sell your Facebook or Instagram data.
  2. We never use it for advertising, and we never share it with advertisers or advertising networks.
  3. We never use it to train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
  4. We never use it to build profiles of people or to track anyone.
  5. We do not share it with third parties, except service providers who help us run busytask AI (such as our hosting provider and the AI service that drafts posts), and only to provide the features described above. These providers may not use your data for their own purposes, including training their models.
  6. We may disclose it when required by law.

We handle all data received from Meta in line with the Meta Platform Terms and Developer Policies.

How to delete your Facebook and Instagram data. You can have us delete this data at any time in either of two ways:

  1. Remove busytask AI from Facebook. In Facebook, go to Settings and privacy, then Settings, then Business integrations. Find busytask AI and click Remove. This stops our access right away.
  2. Email us. Send a message to [email protected] with the subject “Data deletion request,” and include the name of your business and the Facebook Page or Instagram account you connected.

Either way, we delete all Facebook and Instagram data we hold about you within 30 days and email you to confirm when it’s done.

7. How We Store and Protect Your Information

Your information is stored in the United States. We use reasonable safeguards to protect it, including encryption when data is sent over the internet and encryption of the access tokens that connect your accounts. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and limit who can access it.

8. How Long We Keep Your Information

We keep your information only as long as we need it to provide our services, meet legal and accounting requirements, and resolve disputes.

If you disconnect your Google, Facebook, or Instagram account, or close your busytask AI account, we delete the data we received from that account within 30 days.

9. Your Choices

You can:

  1. Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  2. Ask us to correct or delete your information
  3. Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email, or by contacting us
  4. Disconnect any connected account at any time

To make a request, email [email protected]. We’ll respond within 30 days.

10. Children

Our services are built for businesses and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If we make a major change to how we handle data from connected Google, Facebook, or Instagram accounts, we’ll notify busytask AI users before the change takes effect.
