Payment processing
Card payments are 2.9% plus 30 cents. Bank transfers are 1%, capped at $10. The money goes straight to your Stripe account, and busytask takes nothing from your payments.

Answers before you even ask
Do I need a credit card to start the trial?
No. Every plan is free for 14 days with every feature, including the AI assistant. Add a card only when you decide to keep going. If you don't, the trial just ends.
What does the AI assistant actually do?
It reads what is already in busytask Pro and drafts customers, jobs, quotes, invoices and reminders from what you tell it by voice, text, photo or an uploaded call recording. Every draft waits for your approval, and it flags anything it is not sure about, like a missing address. It never contacts a customer on its own. You can also ask it questions, like who owes you money or what is on tomorrow.
How do I record a call?
Record it on your phone the way you already can (iPhone and most Android phones have a recorder, and many have call recording built in), then upload the file to the assistant. Recordings can be up to 15 minutes each. Some states need both sides to agree to a recording, so tell the caller, the same as any business line does.
What counts toward the AI allowance?
Minutes of audio you record or upload, and messages you send. Reading your account to answer a question is a message. Most one person shops use a fraction of the Solo allowance. If you need more, AI Boost adds 300 minutes for $19 a month.
Is there a contract?
No. Plans are month to month and you can cancel from your account settings at any time. Pay yearly and you save up to 14%. Your data stays exportable before and after.
Will my techs actually use it?
They open it in the phone's browser, see today's visits, tap on my way, add a photo and mark the job done. There is no app to install and nothing to learn beyond that.
How do customers pay?
Every invoice has a link where the customer pays by card or bank transfer. You can also record cash and checks by hand. Payments are processed by Stripe and paid out to your bank. busytask takes nothing from your payments.
Can I bring my data from Jobber or Housecall Pro?
Yes. Export your customers and jobs from your current tool and we import them for free on every plan. Most imports are done the same day, and you can undo an import if something looks wrong.
Does it work with QuickBooks?
Customers, invoices and payments sync to QuickBooks Online so your books stay current without double entry. The connection is built and in Intuit's final review.
